η φύση είναι ό,τι πιο κοντινό και συνάμα πιο απρόσιτο έχουμε. αυτό το ίδιον-ξένο μπορεί να πάρη λογική μορφή μόνον μέσω του κοινού νου. ο κοινός νους δεν είναι ούτε εικονισμός ενός ‘φυσικού νόμου’ (natural law), ούτε μια κοινωνιολογική συνισταμένη ατομικού ‘ορθού λόγου’: είναι φυσικός πραγματικά και προσωπικός πραγματικά—ο κοινός νους είναι η λογική εικόνα της κοινά βεβαιωμένης εμπειρίας, η βεβαιότητα του απροκαθόριστου. (αντίθετα με την καθορισμένη βεβαιότητα του αστικού νόμου.)

nature is what nearest and at the same time most transcendent we have. that own-alien thing can take a speech form only through common sense. common sense is neither an image of ‘natural law’ nor a sociological sum of individual rationality: it is actually natural and actually personal—common sense is the logical (=in a language form) image of the commonly accredited (and accrued) experience; the sureness of the unsettled. (contrary to settled sureness of bourgeois law.)
