regulae iuris (on Mt.20:25-8)
a trembling heart is being tossed about
between the two steep rocks:
the ought of the End and the ought of the Form.
the space between is the dark which promises nothing,
the land of death,
the realm of positive law,
the province of Moira of absolute property.
the heart is wandering over 'this region
of short distances and definite places'
striving to be neither lord nor servant;
but there is no way out,
there is only way up.
and for that way up she must dive deeply down,
into herself,
beyond the positive limits of the death,
into the fathomless depths of love.
