οὔτε κἂν "κατὰ τὰ στοιχεῖα τοῦ κόσμου"·
ἀλλά, κατὰ τὰ φαντάσματα τοῦ νοῦ τους,
ποὺ τὸν καταφλέγουν ἀέναα μὲ τὴν φωτιὰ ποὺ ξερνᾶ τὸ καμίνι τῶν ἐπιθυμιῶν τους.

not even "after the rudiments of the world";
but, after their mind's phantoms,
which endlessly burn down him with the fire that their desires' kiln emits.
